PMOL: Welcome to the Family

"Featherweight, Could you come over here please?" Fluttershy asked softly, almost softer than usual if that was possible.

Featherweight made his way towards his mother. His legs were shaking, but he has waited hours for this moment. Months if he counted all the way back to when his parents told him they were having another baby. He was so excited, so nervous and just a little bit worried. Why wait so long after his sibling was born, was something the matter?

"Oh I know I told your father I would wait until he got back but I just can't wait anymore," He could hear the excitement in her soft voice, he couldn't wait either. He stopped just beside her. "Featherweight, I'd like you to meet your little sister, Rosemary."

Just as her name was spoken he saw her. Nothing was wrong, not with her, not with anything. The wonder of a newborn foal washed over him. He had a sister, a sweet, beautiful little sister. His legs no longer shook and he knew right then and there that everything was perfect. His doubts were all washed away, he now knew he would be a good brother to her. He'd be there for her and he'd always care for her. And then her eyes opened. Those big green eyes looked up at him and her tiny hoof reached out.

"Hi Rosey, I'm your big brother"...

I decided that I would enter Lopoddity 's Month of Love contest. I knew right away that I wanted to create something surrounding a family's love and I thought what would best represent that would be Fluttershy introducing Featherweight to his little sister Rosemary. 

It's my head canon that Featherweight bared no ill will toward the idea of a new baby (he just seems to kind hearted to bare any kind of negative emotion for anyone) and that just because Rose is Shy's biological child Fluttershy loves him like her very own. I also see Fluttershy giving birth naturally and outside possibly due to the influence of a certain Hippie we all know Now whether or not any of this is canon to the Pandoraverse I have no idea, this is just how I imagine it.
